Energy ShareEnergy Share is a cooperative effort of Energy Share of North Dakota, statewide Community Action Agencies, utility companies, private donors, and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program to help eligible households prevent electrical shutoffs. Assistance is provided when the situation has been deemed an emergency, and all other resources have been exhausted. Energy Share may pay for service charges, re connection fees, or security lights. Energy Share may not pay for late charges, penalty charges, deposits, estimated readings, or trip charges. Eligible clients may be referred to Community.

In House Emergency Food PantryCommunity Action provides donated foods, paper products, and cleaning supplies to individuals and families on an emergency basis. Non-Federal funds are utilized to purchase food items. No income guidelines.

Food PantriesCommunity Action supports community food pantries throughout Bottineau, McHenry, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, and Ward Counties. Eligibility for the food pantries must follow federal poverty income guidelines as determined by the Community Services Block Grant.

Emergency Prescription Assistance ProgramThe Emergency Prescription Assistance Program assists uninsured low-income individuals with the purchase of prescription medications.

Donations are accepted year-round for coats, hats, gloves, boots, and pants that are still wearable. Those requesting winter clothing are asked to come in to try on items.
